"The Swan House" is an immersive, sculptural installation that blurs the boundaries between painting, costume, and architecture. Inspired by tales, transformation, and feminine mythologies, the work invites viewers into a dreamlike, theatrical structure-part stage, part shrine, part soft- unter the table fortress.
Constructed from painted panels and enveloped in opulent fabrics and hand-ruffled tulle, the installation evokes both the delicacy and weight of escapism and romantic brutalism. Swans, symbols of grace and metamorphosis, are painted across the surfaces, caught mid-motion in surreal, almost ritualistic gestures. The harlequin and checkerboard patterns beneath them suggest both play and distortion-reflections of identity and illusion. This work explores themes of protection, transformation, and the tension between inner fragility and outward beauty. It stands as a physical manifestation of a psychological space-somewhere between a child's fort, a stage curtain, and a sacred vessel.
